• In the early hours of April 20 (03:33 am) the largest magnitude aftershock of 6.3 was felt.
• Six provinces continue under Red Alert: Manabí, Esmeraldas, Santa Elena, Guayas, Santo Domingo and Los Ríos. Manabí is the most affected.
• The Emergency Relief Coordinator and UN Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs Stephen O'Brien is leading the support of the UN system in assistance to the affected population.
