EARTHQUAKE IN ECUADOR: A month after the earthquake, the needs and priorities of the affected population are more clear and response plans are more detailed. The coverage of the appeal is only 15%. Some 660 people died in the earthquake and 13 persons remain missing.
MIGRATION: The number of unaccompanied children and adolescents entering the United States could reach 75,000 in 2016, an increase of 78% compared to 2015.
HURRICANE SEASON: The Pacific season started on May 15 and will run until November 30. Four (4) intense hurricanes are expected.
