On 16 April, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck north-west Ecuador, leaving behind a trail of devastation. More than 600 people were killed and some 720,000 others still need humanitarian assistance. Documenting the challenges facing the people, OCHA’s Manuel Rodriguez visited the area to witness firsthand how they are coping in one shelter.
